چکیده

Background . Ionizing radiation is an effective antitumor therapy, but it has a serious negative effect on the immune system requiring use of reaction prevention and reduction methods. Neutrophils are sensitive element both in interaction with tumor tissue response to injury. Aim To evaluate functional activity peripheral blood neutrophils by chemiluminescent analysis patients anorectal cancer after radiotherapy. Materials methods The study included 80 cancer. Patients received chemo- radio-therapy 3D conformal radiotherapy therapy under visual control, followed radioprotector without it. Neutrophil determined analysis. Results In found maximum spontaneous induced chemiluminescence acceleration. activation index luminol lower cancer, lucigenin shows no differences control group. low intensity, as well decrease synthesis reactive secondary oxygen species enzymatic systems, likely regulatory intracellular limitations consequence. After treatment, showed number parameters statistically significant Undesirable phenomena associated sodium deoxyribonucleate not detected during subsequent observation period. Conclusion During suggest that ionizing affects them receiving standard chemoradiotherapy. Use chemoradiotherapy leads indirect restoration cellular activity. This confirmed luminol-dependent faster reaching its from group start drug treatment.

A STUDY OF THE INTRACELLULAR KILLING OF THE PERIPHERAL BLOOD NEUTROPHILS IN β- THALASSEMIA MAJOR PATIENTS

52 β- thalassemia major patients were studied. Their ages ranged from two to 20 years. The group consisted of 22 girls and 30 boys. Candida intracellular killing and NBT (nitroblue tetrazolium) tests were performed on the peripheral blood neutrophils of these patients. Average results of the intracellular killing test was within normal range for the patients, but showed an appreciable decr...

Concomitant Increase of OX40 and FOXP3 Transcripts in Peripheral Blood of Patients with Breast Cancer

Background: Regulatory T cells (T-regs) have an important role in cancer by suppression of protective antitumor immune responses. Regulatory T cells express the forkhead/winged helix transcription factor (FOXP3) and OX40 molecules which have important regulatory roles in the immune system. Objective: To evaluate FOXP3 and OX40 transcripts in the peripheral blood mononuclear cells of women with ...

Investigation of NK Cell Population in Peripheral Blood and Tumor Lesions of Patients with Breast Cancer

Background: Alteration in peripheral blood lymphocytes (PBLs) is usually investigated to provide an evidence of the host immune responses to tumor antigens. The tumor infiltrating NK cells interact most closely with the tumor cells and more accurately reflect tumor host interactions. Objective: To analyze peripheral blood and tumor associated Natural Killer (NK) cells in patients with breast ca...

A study of peripheral blood neutrophils’ function in patients suffering from thalassemia major

Background: Thalassemia is the most common blood disorder in the world. This hereditary anemia, Which develops due to a constitutional imbalance in alpha and beta chains of adult haemoglobin (hbA), has serious and life- threatening complications (accompanied by haemolysis and bone deformities) in its major form. We may encounter a diverse collection of articles in world research centers about t...
